To strengthen our faith community, I am pleased to announce the Becoming a Community of Disciples Campaign.

Just as your household requires resources and organization to succeed, so does a parish.  We at St. Therese are striving to become more intentional disciples of Jesus Christ, learning how to live the Catholic Christian way of life together in our time and place. Disciples are not perfect, have not arrived, but are learning and practicing to be a faithful people.

We are blessed with a wonderful location and a beautiful, historic church.  But our place for meetings, hospitality and fellowship is limited.  Parish leaders have explored options and developed a plan to provide more suitable space to support parish life.  I am convinced this plan is realistic and achievable and that it will serve us well for many years.

We have decided to limit improvements to what we can raise in a capital campaign with pledges to be paid over five years.  We are confident that we can raise $1 Million, hopefully a little more.  $600,000 has already been committed by some generous parishioners.  To reach our goal we are asking you to consider a sacrificial gift.

As a member of our St. Therese family, your support is vital to our success.  Before you decide on the amount of your support, please prayerfully consider the generosity that God has shown you, the importance of the mission, and the staggering returns that God promises to the cheerful giver.

This is an exciting time at St. Therese.  We are not simply building a facility.  We are coming together in faith, expanding our outreach to the larger community, and learning to be true disciples of Jesus Christ.  May God bless our efforts.
